Free birth control for all women under 25 will be available in France from Saturday, expanding a scheme targeting under-18s to ensure young women don't stop taking contraception because they cannot afford it. The scheme, which could benefit three million women, covers the pill, IUDs, contraceptive patches and other methods composed of steroid hormones.
The amendment requires all active fur farms in Italy be closed by June 30, 2022. It also includes an immediate ban on the breeding of mink, foxes, raccoon dogs and chinchillas, according to Humane Society International. To help ease the transition, fur farmers will be compensated β¬3 million by the Ministry of Agriculture in 2022, reported VegNews.
After a successful launch of NASAβs James Webb Space Telescope Dec. 25, and completion of two mid-course correction maneuvers, the Webb team has analyzed its initial trajectory and determined the observatory should have enough propellant to allow support of science operations in orbit for significantly more than a 10-year science lifetime. Β (The minimum baseline for the mission is five years.)

5. Juno the Norfolk search and rescue dog has been found after six days missing over Christmas
Juno the German pointer was found after surviving six days in Norfolk woods. More than 85 people from Norfolk, Sufffolk, Cambridgeshire, Buckinghamshire, and Kent search and rescue teams were involved in finding the German shorthaired pointer.
Juno, who helps find missing people for Norfolk Lowland Search and Rescue, became the subject of a large-scale search herself after getting lost on a family walk on 21 December.
6. MΔori broadcaster becomes first to anchor news with traditional chin tattoo
A New Zealand reporter has made history by becoming the first person to anchor news with a traditional MΔori chin tattoo, Newshub reported.Β
On Christmas day,Β βOriini Kaipara, who has a moko kauae, presented on Newshub LiveΒ for the first time, accomplishing a dream to representΒ MΔori women.
Nadia Popovici was in the stands behind the Vancouver Canuck's assistant equipment manager, Brian Hamilton, to watch their game when she spotted the mole. She alerted Mr Hamilton to the growth by writing a message on her phone and pressing it against the glass that separates supporters and team members.
